Our client has a great opportunity for an exceptional Agriculture Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Mechanic, based out of the Southern Interior BC location to represent a number of industry leading brands! Tired of weekends and being on call? Cold winters in Alberta where your hands are frozen in the field? This client is closed on the weekends, call outs are rare and the winters are mild in BC. You can also find housing prices that are similar to Alberta, based on where our clients locations are.

What makes the role exciting and what does it involve?

  • Diagnostics, electrical work, general repairs, maintenance, pre-delivery inspections of equipment and pre-season inspections
  • Working on a variety of equipment throughout the year (agriculture equipment, like balers, tractors and some small-mid sized construction equipment)
  • Updating work orders with notes and recommendations for clients
  • Shop or Field work

What are we looking for?

  • Licensed as an Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy Duty Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician (on or off road)
  • We will certainly consider candidates who are senior apprentices (3rd year and up) or technicians who are licensed in other trades who have familiarity with agriculture
  • A few years of experience
  • Someone client focused and you take pride in quality work
  • Proficient with electrical diagnostics in particular
  • You are comfortable running a service truck and working in the field, which you get to drive home
